I must have your revision by 2 pm on Friday Feb. 29th...not 2:01 or 3pm.. 2pm! You can bring it to my office on Friday, slide it under my office door in RB (I will be there at 2), or bring it to class on Thursday.
Your revision will have 2 parts:
1.) You need to revise your annotated bib itself.
2.) You need to write a 2 page reflection explaining why you didn't do the assignment completely (mis-communication, ran out of time, didn't research enough), why you depended on EBSCOhost or citation machine to do your citations (didn't understand MLA, didn't think to check the citations, didn't want to do it) and why it is important to understand how to do citations. I want an honest response, so if you were just lazy and didn't care about the grade but you do now, tell me and then explain why.
3.) You need to turn back in your graded annotated bib.
You do not have to do a revision. It is just an option for you.

Week 8
For this week I want you to answer the following questions:
- What is the main theme that you see running through your research? If you have talked to some members in your community, does that theme seem to run through your site as well?
- As of today, 8 weeks into this project, what is your place in the culture? Is it similar to different to where you were 8 weeks ago? What changed?

Week 7 Blog Question
What type of plan have you come up with to finish your mini-ethnography? Do you need more research on a specific topic? Do you need to spend more time in your community? How do you plan on spending that time: interviewing? observing? participating in activities? In other words, how do you plan on finishing this assignment?

Week 6
Can you make any general conclusions about your community as of right now? And if so, what are those conclusions? Do you think that what you have been observing is specific to your community or that it would be the same if you want to that community on a different campus (for example, would what you are observing in a Frat at Ball State be the same at the same Frat at Kent State?)

In-Class Note taker
Starting tomorrow we will have a note taker in class. This person is to take notes during their scheduled time. After you take notes you are to type them up and post them as a comment to this blog post. That way if you are absent you can look at the notes from your classmate. How you take your notes is up to you. This is for a grade and is to give you practice as you keep visiting your site.
The first person takes notes from 3:30 to 4:05. The second person takes notes from 4:05 to 4:40. Keep track of time as you take notes

Week 5 blog question
What kinds of sources have you gathered so far for your project? Have you found information in your sources that connect to what you are observing? What haven't you found that you are still looking for?
